BLACK BEAR SHOOTING OPPORTUNITY or FREE TRIP BACK !!!
Between the 2 Reserves that we operate, we offer 3 possibilities of Black BEAR hunting. Guided Hunt & Trophy Hunt in LaVerendrye Wildlife Reserve, and Self Guided Hunt European style in Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve.
Price range from $1999 US taxes in to $3999 US + taxes & license.
Both Camps can easily be reached by normal 2 wheels drive car, even LaVerendrye camps is just 1 mile right off the TransCanadian hwy (117N).
LaVerendrye Wildlife Reserve is located at 4 hours (N.W.) drive from Montreal International Airport (YUL).This reserve has an excellent road network, this allows us to go further & deeper in descent driving time. Usually in stand from 10 minutes to 2 hours from the camp. This, the first year of operation in this new location, we'll have Exclusive access to + - 25% of the whole reserve! Around 1,500 mi.², that is still 10 times bigger than most average Qc. Outfitters, but only few hunters accessing it. As we always had to respect a very strict quota on number of bears to harvest, our camp is never crowded, we always offer personal services. By having smaller groups, we can put effort and really target dominant boars.

Our Guided American Plan includes: Lodge in comfortable log cabin with electricity, hot shower, indoor toilet, three daily meals prepared & served by our cook.
CANADA BLACK BEAR HUNTING - DAY OF ARRIVAL
Day of arrival, once unpacked, your bear hunting guide will give you instructions as to where you will be bear hunting and the black bear's habits. As experienced black bear guides in this area will discuss bear hunting tactics, shot placement for bear harvest, and tips for judging bear size, and determine the sex of a black bear and safety rules of the camp.
After lunch, you will then be guided out to your baited bear hunting stand. The field transportation is done aboard our rental 4 doors trucks. We offer all kinds of bear hunting stands to accommodate weapons of your choice as well as helping with physical conditions. Bear hunters will be set up over fresh virgin and very active bear hunting baits.
After the shot, our guide will track and bring back your trophy black bear to hang it in our walk-in cooler for the night. Dog tracking is also available on call to search wounded bears if necessary.
Next morning, after photo shoot with your trophy black bear, the skin will be remove in a manner best suited for the way in which you intend to have the bear mounted, live bear mount or bear rug. We then package the bear hide and freeze it for your trip back or to have it done by our taxidermist if you wish. We can also rough cut & de-bone your meat, freeze it, and prepare for packing it the way you like, don't forget your bags & cooler.

When Bear Hunt is Over it's NOT over- Canada Fishing Guide
Once your bear's down, it is possible to hired a professional fishing guide and boat. Over 800 lakes and 2 huge reservoirs are accessible for fishing, LaVerendrye Reserve is well known for its awesome walleye fishing. It's also possible to give it a try for its monster pikes, some lakes with lakers and speckles are also available.

TROPHY BEAR HUNT
Trophy Bear Hunt is also offer for Experienced Black Bear hunters, money doesn't buy a trophy black bear. When you see our black bear baits' hunting album, the bear hunter is choosing the trophy bear that he wants to get. Our bear hunting guides will assist the bear hunter and put all efforts in helping him achieving his trophy black bear. It's the bear hunter's job to be selective and recognize the trophy bear. Once the bear hunter make that decision to pull the trigger, a shooting fee will be charged, Whatever it's the black bear desired trophy or not!

SELF-GUIDED BEAR HUNT
Self Guided (DIY) BEAR Hunting in Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve. Mastigouche is located at only 2½ hours N.E. of Montreal (Qc.) Airport (YUL), for over 20 years, we operate Exclusively the Mastigouche Reserve (1574²km.) bordering a Federal Park (750² km) where hunting has never been allowed! Most of major Bear studies are on that park, remember that we're hunting inside the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve, Not only bordering like others are bragging.
Mastigouche bears population is estimated around 750 bears! With a possibility of 36 DIY hunters for the entire season, this is nothing since bear population's still growing.
We started to offer this hunt to few of our repeaters who have learned how to hunt bear successfully with us. Then they wanted to be more involved in their hunt (NEW in 2017). The whole reserve is now offered only for DIY hunters.
Our main camp is available for a group up 8 hunters at the same time, by taking this main camp, means that you're the only hunters in the whole Mastigouche Reserve (1574² km.) during your hunting period.

SELF-GUIDED BEAR HUNT-For smaller groups (2 to 4 hunters), in remote area, other cabins are available.
1 small group at the time per cabin, exclusive area that can be bear hunted and held by the same group year after year.

A bear hunting guide will be in camp all season to bait and maintain each site up to your arrival. Once you are there, enough bait stuff will be supplied and enough quantity for the rest of your hunting week. We can install stands for you prior your bear hunt. We also understand many prefer their own installation of their hunting stands. We will do nothing unless requested stand placement is requested. Freezers are also available to freeze your skins and trophies.
We bear hunt in Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve and rotate areas the past 20 years. It's normal seeing multiple black bears at same bait site, often same night. Black bears are waiting for us to deliver their lunch once spring arrived.
